Ondo Deputy Governor nominee, Ondo deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, said he was not thinking of the position before Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa called upon him to serve.
Adelami said his nomination by Aiyedatiwa was not expected as he only had his eyes on the federal appointment he was pursuing.
He said: “I never contested for deputy governor; I was looking for a federal appointment when I was called to be a deputy. I do not take this opportunity for granted.

The deputy governor designate who will be sworn in next week, said he would work with the governor to move the state forward.
