Ibadan youths hit streets to protest food inflation, insecurity

Hundreds of residents of Ibadan the Oyo State Capital, most of whom are youths have taken to the streets to protest the current food crisis and insecurity in the country.
The protesters gathered around the Mokola area in the state wielding placards messages such as ‘End food hike and inflation’ , ‘Tinubu Must Address Insecurity’, ‘Hunger is Killing Us’, ‘[The poor are starving’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises’. among others.
The protesters called on the government to take steps to bring down the high cost of living especially the soaring prices of food commodities.
They also called on the government to tackle the incidence of kidnappings in the land. They called for an end to banditry and terrorist attacks.
