Internet fraud: EFCC grabs 13 suspects in Kano

Thirteen suspects have been arrested in Badawa area of Kano metropolis following intelligence over their alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The suspects were arrested by peratives of the Kano Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency said in a statement.

He added that the suspects were arrested following intelligence signalling a syndicate of suspected internet fraudsters perpetrating cyber- related crimes where they were arrested.

“In the course of the arrest, several incriminating items were recovered from the suspects.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Oyewale concluded.
