Update: Facebook back after hours of downtime

Facebook is now active a few hours after it went off alongside its sister platform, Instagram.

Millions of Facebook and Instagram  users all over the world had earlier  been suddenly logged out of their accounts on the popular social media platforms.

Although no one is sure what factors are responsible for the development, it is thought that the two platforms may have suffered a glitch leading to a downtime

As of the the time of this report, there has been no official from Meta the owners of the platforms.
