Police arrest man for allegedly raping JSS1 student

The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force says its operatives have arrested a 24-year-old man, Gadafi Bala accused of  raping a Junior Secondary School (JSS1) student of Aderegun Community High School, Ogijo, Sagamu.

The command spokesperson,  Omolola Odutola  who revealed this in a statement , said the Division Police Officer upon receiving the report , visited victim and ordered the girl be examined.  She said the examination showed that the girl was raped.

She said: “No person involved in such act will evade punishment as it is a serious crime against human right violations.

”Sequel to the result being confirmed by a doctor of a government owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly arrested.

”Preliminary investigation has commenced into the matter and the case will be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
