Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Concert Holds Sunday

Roy Olokungboye and De Afro Classique Organization will next Sunday thrill fans and other guests at the first annual Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Concert billed for Stadium Hotel Hotel, Iyun Road, Surulere, Lagos.

Tagged A Celebration Of An Icon, the concert promises to be remarkable as government functionaries, rights activists and top musicians will be present to honour the late constitutional lawyer and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, who died a year ago.

Chief Olusegun Olusola (OFR) and the wife of the deceased, Alhaja Ganiyat Fawehinmi, are billed to be the father and mother of the day respectively, while governors Kayode Fayemi, Olusegun Mimiko and Rauf Aregbesola are special guests of honour at the occasion.

Others are Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, ace trumpeter and doyen of highlife music, Dr. Victor Abimbola Olaiya (OON), Otunba Gani Adams and Comrade Abiodun Aremu.

To add glamour to the event are veteran saxophonist, Yinusa Akinribosun a.k.a. YS; Dr. Orlando Julius, Seyi Solagbade and Saxy G, among others.
