Task Force Foils Another Attack In Jos
The joint military task force in Jos, the Plateau State capital, North Central Nigeria, has arrested a man on his way to attack a village in the war-torn state capital.
The 30-year old man identified as Mohammed Abdullahi, was arrested with a locally made pistol and knife.
Spokesman for the task force, Captain Charles Ekeocha, said the man was found with five rounds of ammunition.
He added that those on their way for the attack were 30 but they all escaped except Abdullahi who was nabbed.
Captain Ekeocha said they were on their way to Ropp village in Barkinladi Local Government Area to attack the village.
The arrest comes in the wake of yesterday’s deadly attack on a family in Foron village also in the council area which left a family of eight dead along with a visitor to the family who was also killed.
It was the fourth of gruesome attacks between Monday and Friday, 9 September believed to have been carried out by marauders said to be Fulani herdsmen.
