Niger troops arrest Nigerian notorious bandit leader

A Nigerian bandit kingpin, Kachallah Mai Daji, has been arrested by troops of Niger military.

Kachallah who was arrested near the border town of Illela, Niger, was reportedly trying to rustle cattle.

A security analyst, Zagazola Makama, speaking about the bandit kingpin, said: “He has killed dozens of people, burnt down villages, kidnapped hundreds and imposed levies on villages for almost ten years”.

“He was apprehended by Nigerien forces when he tried to rustle livestock through the country border,” he said.
