Austine Dominic Izuogu, popularly known as Austinecruise is a great example of how social media can make you a star. His hilarious skits and relatable content has connected with millions of people, making him an internet sensation. Social media algorithms have consistently favored him, amplifying his reach and propelling him to stardom. Today, Austine is gradually becoming a household name in Nigeria. Austincruise is a 22-year-old Nigerian comedian who’s been making quite a splash in the Nigerian content creation world. Born in Aba in Abia State, a thriving business hub where activity never slows. After high school graduation from Prize Mate Model Academy in Aba where he was born and spent his formative years.
Austine moved to the Eastern Heartland of Nigeria, Owerri in Imo State, a state where several Nigerian stars are birthed. Upon moving to Owerri, he got an admission to pursue a degree in Computer Science at Imo State University. Balancing his studies with his blossoming interest in comedy, Austine managed to carve out a niche for himself. He used his university experiences as inspiration for his hilarious sketches.
Austine’s journey into comedy began during his school days, when he proudly wore the title of class clown. Alongside his friends, he would entertain their classmates with jokes and funny shenanigans. It was then that Austine realized he could turn his talent for making people laugh into a viable career. Growing up in a rural area in Eastern Nigeria, he credits his environment as a major influence on his comedy.

In 2021, he received his first YouTube Silver Play Button, a significant milestone that recognized his growing popularity. But it was in 2022 that his breakthrough moment arrived when one of his comedy videos went viral on TikTok. This success paved the way for him to win the TikTok Naija Comedy Festival in 2023.
