Reality TV star Tolanibaj has spoken out about receiving death threats from Wizkid’s fans following her criticism of the artiste over his remarks about Don Jazzy.
The controversy started when Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as an influencer after a tweet from Ladipoe of Mavin Records sparked debate online.
In a recent episode of the Bahd And Boujee podcast, Tolanibaj expressed her surprise at the extreme reactions to her comments, questioning why she and even their guest Nasboi were targeted with death threats over what she described as a harmless discussion.
“It’s just a podcast,” Tolanibaj stated, revealing the disparity between such reactions in Nigeria compared to other countries like the United States where podcast discussions typically do not attract similar threats.
In her words, “ I received a death threat from Wizkid’s fans after we hosted Nasboi on this podcast. He also received death threats as well.
It’s just a podcast. What’s the death threat for? People have been doing podcasts in America and elsewhere but they don’t get death threats.”
