Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, known by his stage name Rema, says it is disrespectful to claim he isn’t on standard with Afrobeats big guys Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, collectively referred to as the “Big 3.”
Responding to criticism over his recent tweet announcing a “Big 4,” Rema stated his significance in the music industry.
The 22-year-old artiste addressed the controversy in his latest release, “Hehehe,” under Mavin Global Holdings, where he tackles the ongoing debate about his standing among Afrobeats stars.
In his song, Rema confidently states:
“No more big 3, there’s now a big 4. People go para but what for? Dem go say I don’t deserve it but that is an insult.”
