President Bola Tinubu has described seasoned journalist, elder statesman, and former Governor of Ogun State as a beacon of progressive ideals.
The President said this while extending his congratulations to Chief Osoba on 85th birthday and launch of his new book.
In a statement released on Saturday by his spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu highlighted Osoba’s distinguished career, noting his tenure as Ogun State governor from 1992 to 1993 and again from 1999 to 2003.
Osoba, who later served as Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Daily Times, was praised for his professionalism, objectivity, courage, and fairness, which have served as a benchmark for generations of journalists.
The president also acknowledged Osoba’s new book, ‘Segun Osoba: My Life in the Public Eye,’ launched to mark the milestone birthday.
