Truck Crashes On Ojuelegba Bridge

A truck crashed on the Ojuelegba flyover this morning, spilling its contents that caused a heavy traffic jam on Funso Wiliams Avenue, Ikorodu Road and all roads that lead to the Lagos Island.

The truck loaded with hundreds of bags of wheat offal blocked the Funso Williams Avenue while its content also blocked the road.

An eyewitness told P.M.NEWS that the truck was coming from one of the states in the Northern part of the country and was heading to Apapa when the accident occurred.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, have removed the truck but bags of wheat offal blocked the flyover and the adjoining roads.

The only policeman at the scene was not willing to make any comment.

As at press time, the bags of wheat still impeded traffic, thus forcing motorists plying the Funso Williams Avenue and other roads to remain in the gridlock.

The accident reportedly occurred early this morning.
