Nigerian trio of Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro and Prestina Oluchi Ochonogor failed to win any medal for Nigeria in the Women’s Long Jump final in Paris Olympics on Thursday.

Brume leapt 6.70m to place fifth in the final, while Usoro jumped 6.58m to place 10th and Ochonogor, 6.24m to come last in the event.

All eyes were on Brume to win at least a medal for Nigeria like she did four years ago, but her best was not good enough.

Jasmine Moore of the USA jumped 6.96m to claim the bronze medal, while Larissa Iapichino of Italy came fourth after jumping 6.87m.
