Travis Scott arrested in Paris following fight with security guard

American rapper Travis Scott has been detained in Paris following an altercation with a security guard.

The Grammy-nominated hip-hop artiste was arrested on Friday at the luxurious Georges V hotel in the French capital.

According to a statement from the Paris prosecutor’s office, police were summoned to the hotel to arrest Scott for assaulting a security guard who had intervened to separate him from his bodyguard.

Earlier in the week, Scott was seen attending the men’s basketball semi-finals at the Olympics. This incident comes after his arrest in Miami Beach in June for trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
