The Katsina State government has pledged support for infrastructure development projects at the Federal University of Transportation, Daura.

Radda assured that his administration would actively support the contracting firm tasked with carrying out additional viable infrastructure projects at the institution.

He praised the university’s management for their dedication to maintaining a fair and transparent policy in both recruitment and student admissions.

“Our administration recognizes the pivotal role of specialized education in driving economic growth and technological advancement,” Radda stated.

“We are committed to providing the necessary support to ensure the University of Transportation, Daura delivers on its mandate effectively.”

Radda also acknowledged the efforts of the Minister of Transportation, Sen. Sa’idu Ahmed-Alkali, for his role in establishing the university, highlighting its significance in Nigeria’s educational landscape.

Earlier in the visit, Sen. Ahmed-Alkali presented a progress report on the institution’s academic activities, revealing that the university has admitted 600 students across 14 programs.

He added that preparations are underway to matriculate these students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
