American rapper Curtis James Jackson III, popularly known as 50 Cent, has revealed that his current favorite song is ‘Me & U’ by Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems.
In a viral clip from an interview posted on Tuesday, the hip-hop legend expressed his admiration for the song.
“My current song on repeat is ‘Me & U’ by Tems,” 50 Cent said.
‘Me & U’ is the lead single from Tems’ debut studio album, Born In The Wild, which has gained widespread recognition since its release.
The song also made headlines when it won the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2024 BET Awards, sparking controversy among fans and critics.
Many questioned the decision to award a secular artiste in a gospel category, particularly over established gospel legends like Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music.
