Lateef Adedimeji, wife visit Ogun governor ahead of Lisabi premiere

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, have paid a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, in preparation for the premiere of Adedimeji’s latest movie, Lisabi.
The governor, through his official account on the platform X (formerly Twitter), expressed his delight at hosting the couple, describing the visit as an honour.
He praised the actor for his passion to showcasing Ogun State’s rich cultural history through the film Lisabi, which centers around the legendary Egbaland warrior of the same name.
“We were honoured to host actor and filmmaker @TheDimejiLateef, alongside his wife, @Mobimpeoyebade, as he prepares for the premiere of his historical movie Lisabi in Ogun State. The film celebrates the legacy of Lisabi, a legendary Egbaland warrior. We extend our full support and wish him continued success as a proud ambassador of Ogun State,” Governor Abiodun wrote.
Lateef Adedimeji also took to social media, sharing photos and videos from the visit, expressing his gratitude for the warm reception.
He stated that it was a great feeling to return to his home state, and he was thrilled with the strong support the project was receiving from the Ogun State Government.
“I am deeply humbled to have been warmly received by the number one citizen of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun @dapoabiodunmfr. My wife @mo_bimpe and I felt truly welcome, and it’s so great to be home,” Adedimeji shared on his Instagram and X pages.
He added, “We are thrilled to see Lisabi receiving such strong acceptance and support from the State Government.”
Adedimeji also praised Governor Abiodun for his commitment to youth empowerment and innovation, noting the importance of initiatives like the Lisabi project in developing the talents and skill of Ogun State’s citizens.
He announced that the film would premiere soon and would be available for streaming on Netflix.
