Reekado Banks welcomes first child on 2nd anniversary of mother’s death

Nigerian singer Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, popularly known as Reekado Banks, and his girlfriend have welcomed their first child on Tuesday as it marks the second anniversary of his late mother’s death.

The singer took to his Instagram stories to reflect on the bittersweet occasion.

Sharing a photo of his late mother, he noted how today marks two years since they said their goodbyes but expressed his belief that her presence still lingers. “Mother, today, 2 years ago, we said our goodbyes but I see you never left,” he wrote.

In another post, Reekado Banks expressed his gratitude, sharing the joy of welcoming his newborn child.

He wrote, “Cos, how is it 2 years after, I’m leaving the hospital, thankful for the blessings of Fatherhood.”

The “Ozumba Mbadiwe” crooner also extended heartfelt appreciation to his partner, commending her strength throughout the pregnancy. “Nothing but deep appreciation to my woman for 10 months of absolute show of grit and strength. Love you forever,” he said.
