The three former governors, according to the anti-graft agency, are Otunba Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State, Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State and Akwe Doma of Nassarawa State.

Spokesman of EFCC, Mr. Femi Babafemi, confirmed to P.M.News this afternoon that the three former governors who are members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were picked up today.

He declined to give further details but merely said: “they were arrested in connection with petitions bordering on alleged fraud against them.”

Otunba Gbenga Daniel may have been arrested shortly after he left the venue of Yoruba Leaders’ Conference in Ikenne, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, today.

Our correspondent who was at the venue said Daniel spent only about two minutes at the venue and left before the meeting started
