Top Gospel Stars Endorse Ayefele

Despite the criticism levelled against Yinka Ayefele’s brand of gospel music called ‘Tungba’, top gospel music stars, namely Evangelist Adelakun aka Ayewa, Evangelist Timi Osukoya aka Telemi, Dunni Olanrewaju aka Opelope Anointing and Funmi Aragbaye have endorsed his music.

The endorsement of Ayefele’s music was during the final burial/reception ceremony of Evangelist Ebenezer Obey–Fabiyi’s late wife, Evangelist Juliana Obey-Fabiyi at Q Event Centre, Abeokuta Ogun State, southwest Nigeria.

During the reception ceremony which was attended by eminent personalities such as the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Alao Arisekola, Queen Salawa Abeni and the foremost gospel artistes and others, Ayefele sang their praise. He dug into the archives to sing their popular tunes and they responded positively.

The first artiste to appreciate the ‘Tungba’ exponent was Dunni Olanrewaju who went on stage to dance and paste crisp naira notes on the forehead of the singer.

Telemi also did the same. He even performed a duet with him while, Adelakun and Aragbaiye danced to the music of Ayefele.

The widower, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi thanked Ayefele for honouring his invitation by pasting some wads of naira notes on his forehead.

After about two hours of impressive performance by Ayefele, Obey band and Tolu Obey performed at the impressive ceremony.
