Cleric Charges Youths On Reading Culture
A cleric, Rev. Tanimu Aduda has stressed the need to promote reading culture and research among Nigerian youths.
Aduda, who is the Anglican Bishop of Gwagwalada Diocese, made the call on Saturday in Gwagwalada at a book launch.
The book titled: The Most Important Decision You Will Make Ever, was written by Pastor Solomon Omada.
The bishop said that research and reading culture had the tendency of broadening the knowledge of youths towards making necessary contributions to national development.
Aduda called on prospective young authors to ensure that adequate research was carried out on their work to boost the knowledge of readers.
“Omada has actually done very good work in the area of research and bringing the language to the level of understanding of anybody that will lay hands on the book. â€
“The decisions he highlighted in the book are decisions that will not only enhance knowledge but decisions that will help in the development of the country. â€
Speaking at the event, Omada said he wrote the book because of a desire to reach out to people beyond his outreach in the area of talent sharing.
He said some basic issues highlighted in the book were decisions on key issues of life, especially in self-discovery, since every individual was uniquely created by God.
“There are general rights and privileges that every individual possess, that must be discovered to be able to fulfil our productive life on earth.â€
