Internet fraud: EFCC seizes 10 exotic cars, nabs 21 suspects in Benin City

Ten exotic cars, laptops and phones were recovered as operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC went after internet fraudsters in Benin, the capital of Edo State on Tuesday.

The raid on the fraudsters conducted by operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC resulted in the arrest of 21 suspects at different locations in Benin City, Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency said in a statement.

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested based on actionable intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet related fraud.

“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement concluded.
