ACN Holds Crucial Stakeholders’ Meeting

Ahead of the forthcoming council elections slated for Saturday, 22 October, 2011, hundreds of members of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, this morning stormed the party’s state headquarters on Acme Road, Ogba for stakeholders’ meeting.

Representatives from the 20 local government areas and the 37 local council development areas arrived the Acme Road State Secretariat of the ACN as early as 7.30 this morning.

To beef up security, the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, police operatives attached to the ACN Secretariat cordoned off Acme Road.

The policemen did not spare people who were trekking to nearby offices on Acme Road.

This resulted in traffic gridlock on the alternative routes, like WEMPCO Road and Lateef Jakande Roads in Agidingbi.

At press time, the ACN stakeholders’ meeting was ongoing.
