LG Boss Donates Patrol Van To Lekki Estate
In appreciation of the maximum support the residents association have given to the Eti-Osa Local Council Development Area, LCDA, for the past three years, the chairman of Eti-Osa West Local Council Development Area, Hon. Anofiu Elegushi has donated a brand new Toyota patrol van to residents of Lekki to help in the provision of security.
The event took place at the association’s secretariat on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Eti-Osa, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Elegushi said to whom much is given, much is also expected. He said the LCDA felt it should assist the Lekki Community Development Association in the provision of security by presenting a patrol van to them because the CDA had been doing a good job through self-help.
Elegushi added that in area of security in the estate the incumbent chairman of the association, Mr. Wole Akala, and all stakeholders have sustained the provision of maximum security for all residents and a clean environment through self-help.
Responding, Akala thanked Elegushi for his magnanimity and said: “Like Oliver Twist, I would appeal to the chairman to come to the aid of the residents in terms of infrastructure renewal and deflooding, drainage channels and help for the less privileged in the estate.â€
He described the chairman as the first to have ever visited Lekki Estate to assist residents.
“I am calling on all residents to cast their votes for the chairman’s re-election in the coming local polls to enable us get more from him,†he said.
