National JETS competition: De Genius Olivet College emerges runner-up

De Genius Olivet College, Ota, Ogun State, has emerged as the second-place winner in the recently concluded 27th National Junior Engineers, Technicians, and Scientists (JETS) competition held in Abuja.
Representing Ogun State at the prestigious competition, the school showcased outstanding academic excellence, surpassing contenders from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
De Genius Olivet College claimed the runner-up position, finishing just behind Lagos State, which emerged as the overall winner.
Abia State secured third place in the fiercely contested event.
The school’s amazing performance at the national level showed its commitment to academic excellence and innovation, as it stood out among other top-performing schools across Nigeria.
The proprietor of the school, Hon. Ipoola Omisore, expressed his delight and gratitude to the Ogun State Government for providing an enabling environment for educational growth.
He particularly commended the visionary leadership and forward-thinking policies of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Dr. Dapo Abiodun.
“This enabling environment has significantly contributed to the success of De Genius Olivet College, making it a beacon of excellence in the state and beyond,” Omisore stated.
The JETS competition, an annual event, aims to promote interest in science, technology, and engineering among Nigerian students. This year’s edition saw an impressive display of ingenuity and academic prowess from participating schools nationwide.
