OAP Dotun laments as he marks daughter’s birthday amid custody drama

Popular Nigerian media personality Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, widely known as OAP Dotun, has celebrated his daughter Fioreyimika’s 8th birthday with an emotional tribute on Instagram, reflecting on their separation amid an ongoing custody battle.

Dotun shared a touching video capturing joyful moments with his daughters before his publicized dispute with his estranged wife.

The video was accompanied by a heartfelt note expressing his deep longing for his daughter and strong  hope for a reunion.

“FIOREYIMIKA, You are 8 today. Wherever God has led you to, you will succeed there against all odds. As for Daddy, I will be here waiting, aging well and praying for you. Till we meet again. Happy Birthday to my very goofy one & carbon copy,” Dotun wrote.

The media personality also prayed for Fioreyimika’s success, affirming his faith and patience as he awaits their reunion.

Fans and followers flooded his comment section with birthday wishes for Fioreyimika and words of encouragement for Dotun.

Instagram user @angie_gold001 sympathized, writing, “This really breaks my heart. Why will my gender be using kids to weaponize? It is well with you and your kids, Mr. Dotun. Amen. Happy beautiful birthday to your daughter.”

Another user, @maureen_mimidoo, shared a personal perspective, saying, “Happy birthday, princess. As long as my son’s father is not a danger to him, God forbid that I should prevent him from accessing him. The marriage has ended, but he’s a good man and a great father to our son. That’s all that matters to me.”

Dotun‘s emotional post comes amidst his allegations against his estranged wife and her brother, Nigerian singer D’banj, accusing them of preventing him from reuniting with his daughters.
