The Brilliant Use of Social Media For Business and Leadership

COVID-19 changed the way businesses were being conducted across the world. Social media and the Internet was being explored more. Since then, I have been on the lookout, understudying people that have used this new device and initiative to their own benefit. Just a small fraction of the populace were aware of the imminent grand shift.

While some were aware, they were not prepared for it. One of the few guys that was aware and prepared was Kehinde Thomas. While Instagram is known for its pristine and sharp images, Kehinde has explored the reel video just to teach people about business, finance and financial growth.

In a world where people cared about themselves so much, Kehinde Thomas has made it a point of duty to look out for other, raise financially strong men, perhaps, his background in Nigeria might have been one of the strong factors behind this. While he was born and raised in Kabba, Kogi State, the United States seems to have created the right ecosystem for him to blossom.

Daily, he engaged his followers, offering them golden nuggets, which were gotten from wealth of experience which are either good or bad. He also engages their comments whenever it is necessary, this way, he gives them a sense of belongings.

Kehinde Thomas and other brilliant intellectuals have changed the perception about Instagram. They have made people realize that a lot can be achieved with the app. Rather than just post pictures and other good times. Videos which enlighten people are being posted. One of Kehinde Thomas’ videos caught my attention, he was talking about leadership. He brilliantly dissected the topic, telling his fans the attribute of a leader, how to be a good one and what to look out for. Cuts from his business and leadership conferences were also posted on the Instagram account

The consistency of the posts are also awesome. He makes a post every two days. Sometimes, he posts every day for a week or more. It shows the passion and how much energy he spent on his craft and work. The well edited and crisp fresh videos are splashed on the Instagram account with Kehinde Thomas putting on a freshly pressed suit, shirt and trouser or casual wear. In a way, he teaches the audience dress sense.

No doubt, the world entered a new reset after the COVID 19. Kehinde Thomas has smartly tapped into this new wave by exploring audio visual content to spread his message to the fans. While this is laudable, I hope another brilliant mind would be able to take a cue from him and explore most of these social media app for the betterment of the world. While I know there is a place of frivolities, I believed there should be a balance between the two, in such a way that the intellectually sound would have something to look out for whenever they come online.
