‘I Will Run Inclusive Govt’
The Chairman of Ikoyi/ Obalende Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Ikoyi, Eti-Osa, Hon. Adewale Adeniji, seeking re-election in the coming local government polls, has declared that he will continue to carry residents along in the day-to-day running of his administration if re-elected by the people of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA.
Speaking with L.G.Circuit recently, he denied the allegations of non-performance levelled against him by an aggrieved group in Obalende, stating that his administration has delivered dividends of democracy to the people with the lean resources available to the LCDA.
He said that though it may be true that, “we have not been able to satisfy everybody within the past three years in office, I promise to touch the lives of those that have not benefitted if voted into office in the coming local polls.
“Our achievements at Ikoyi-Obalende are enviable and too numerous to mention.
“We initiated the construction of one of the best primary school classrooms buildings in Lagos State at Ijeh Police Barracks with Exxon Mobil Exploration, who executed it, and the building was commisioned by the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Sarah Sosan.
“Alhaji Aliko Dangote also partnered with us in the rehabilitation of Falomo roundabout and de-silted the drainage channels, Chief Fola Adeola partnered with us to construct Macdonald Road in Ikoyi. We provided desk, benches and books to all the primary and secondary students in Ikoyi Obalende.
“I am now appealing to the residents of Ikoyi Obalende to come out en masse in the coming local polls and vote for us and other ACN candidates to enable them continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy,†he added.
