The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a price reduction for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to ₦970 per litre for oil marketers.
This development was disclosed by Anthony Chiejina, the company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, in a statement released on Sunday.
According to Chiejina, the price reduction is a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their unwavering support in making the refinery a reality.
The new price represents a ₦20 reduction from the refinery’s previous ex-depot price of ₦990, announced earlier this month.
The price reduction is also intended to express gratitude to the government for its support, which will complement measures aimed at promoting domestic enterprise and collective well-being.
The refinery reiterated its commitment to delivering high-quality, environmentally friendly, and sustainable petroleum products.
Furthermore, the refinery assured that it would continue to ramp up production to meet and surpass domestic fuel consumption, dispelling concerns about potential supply shortfalls.

The price reduction is expected to benefit oil marketers, who will save approximately ₦20 on each litre of petrol purchased from the Lekki-based plant.
