Cross River Govt Ready To Host Presidential Retreat At Obudu Ranch —Official

The Cross River Government has restated its readiness to host President Goodluck Jonathan and Corporate Nigeria during a week-long presidential retreat at the Obudu Mountain Ranch Resort.

Mr. Patrick Ugbe, the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, gave the assurance while speaking with journalists in Calabar on Tuesday.

According to him, Governor Liyel Imoke and the people of Cross River are happy to welcome the President and his team to the “Nation’s Paradise”.

“All arrangements have been concluded to successfully host Mr. President and Corporate Nigeria as they spend ample time to forge a common front on the transformation agenda of his administration.

“Adequate security and logistics modalities have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free retreat.

“We urge all participants, including Chief Executives of corporate organisations, entrepreneurs and captains of industry, to take time out to savour the rich, hospitable and cosy milieu nature has provided at the resort,” he said.

The commissioner also expressed the state government’s delight that the resort had become the prime destination for all national and international conferences, workshops and retreat.

He said Imoke’s desire for the resort had been to make it a destination of choice for all in Nigeria and West Africa
