The Plateau State Contributory Health Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) has successfully trained 51 of its staff in a capacity-building program aimed at enhancing the agency’s efficiency and improving healthcare delivery across the state.
The training, held on Thursday in Jos, was officially opened by PLASCHEMA Director-General (D-G) Dr. Agabus Manasseh, who emphasized the importance of the program in strengthening the agency’s operations.
The trainees, drawn from various local government offices of the agency, were equipped with essential knowledge on the agency’s current enrolment gateway platform.
Represented by Dr. Philemon Kwande, Director of Operations and ICT, Dr. Manasseh underscored that the training would not only improve the staff’s ability to perform their duties more efficiently but also enhance the agency’s capacity for revenue generation, contributing to the overall effectiveness of healthcare delivery in Plateau State.
Dr. Manasseh urged the participants to engage actively with the training materials to ensure they provide high-quality services to PLASCHEMA enrollees. “This training is pivotal for strengthening the system and providing seamless healthcare services to the people,” he stated.
Several participants expressed their appreciation for the timely and relevant training. Sadiq Abubakar noted that the program was particularly apt for the current needs of the agency, while Elizabeth Choji noted how insightful the sessions were, particularly in improving her ability to serve enrollees more effectively.
