My Work Speaks For Me — Council Boss
The Chairman, Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area, LCDA, of Lagos State. Hon. Bolaji Robert, seeking re-election in the coming local government polls, has declared that he will continue to carry residents along in the day-to-day running of his administration if re-elected by the people of the council.
Speaking with journalists recently, he denied the allegation of non-performance levelled against him by some people in Oto-Awori, saying that his administration has delivered dividends of democracy to the people even with the lean resources available to the LCDA.
He said although it may be a fact that “we have not achieved 100 percent of our goals in the past three years, we have laid a solid foundation and development stride in the LCDA since the inception.”
He promised to continue to develop and touch the lives of the residents because he was totally committed to the development of the LCDA.
“Our achievements at Oto-Awori are enviable and too numerous to mention.
“We initiated the construction of one of the best LCDA headquarters in Lagos State which wil be commissioned soon,†he said.
He stated that he has as well built and renovated nursery and primary schools in the area and ensures that the children go to schools in a conducive atmosphere. He said he provided benches, desks and books to all the primary and secondary schools in the LCDA.
He said he has touched the lives of the residents in the area of health by building and upgrading the cottage hospital with doctors employed to assist the residents.
On the youths, he said he has assisted many and those in tertiary institutions were paid bursary allowance to encourage them.
On the issue of social amenities, he said that more than 100 boreholes have been sunk in different communities, adding that roads and culverts have been re-built and constructed. He said he also ensured that there is adequate security of lives and property in the area.
He thanked the residents for their supports and belief in his administration.
He promised to continue to build on the foundation so far laid, saying, “I am now appealing to the residents of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area, LCDA, to come out enmasse and vote for us and other ACN candidates in the 22 October election to enable us continue to do good works,†he added.
