 Academy gets Lagos Traditional Medicine Board recognition

The highlight of the graduation ceremony was the Naturopathic oath-taking and induction to officially admit the 25 graduands to the profession.

The Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board (LSTMB), has presented certificate of approval and registration as a tertiary facility to Optimal Academy of Natural Medicine (OANM), Lagos.

The certificate was presented by the Registrar of the Board Mr. Babatunde Adele-Olanrogunsanmi, at the 5th graduation ceremony of the Academy, held in Lagos.

The Registrar who was represented by the Board’s Director of Research, Mr Hakeem Bello, urged the graduands to understand and recognise their limitations and the need for referral when necessary.

Speaking earlier, the Provost of the Academy, Dr Peace Awuto, admonised the graduands to be good and worthy ambassadors of the institution.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Governing Council of the Academy, Dr Sam Zion Adegbemisoye, disclosed that the its vision  was to become the foremost training center for alternative medicine in Africa.

The Executive Secretary of Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board, Dr (Mrs) Kafayat Lawal, harped on the importance of upholding the ethics of the profession and the importance of making referrals to other senior and more experienced colleagues or other health institutions, when deemed necessary.

The highlight of the graduation ceremony was the Naturopathic oath-taking and induction to officially admit the 25 graduands to the profession.

Also prominent were leaders in the profession, including Dr Adedamola Bank Kadejo, Dr Bayo Ajibaye, Dr Ojenike Sulaiman, Dr Adegoke Gold, and the Academy Registrar, Dr Omo Ola Johnson.
