Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has expressed confidence that her upcoming movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, will gross a staggering N5 billion at the box office when it is released this December.
In a viral video shared with some of the movie’s cast, Akindele boldly projected the film’s financial success, saying, “We are making N5 billion this year.”
If Akindele’s projection comes to fruition, Everybody Loves Jenifa will surpass the record set by another of her films, A Tribe Called Judah, which made history as the first Nigerian movie to achieve over one billion naira in earnings.
