Gospel Music Singer, Paul Oluikpe drops soul-stirring new Single

Gospel music minister, Dr. Paul Oluikpe, has just released a new single titled “I Go Worship You.”

In this new release, he features Possible Mima, a budding star whose career has been rooted in the backing vocal lineup for Yadah, an Abuja-based gospel minstrel.

Together, they deliver this critically acclaimed and well-received piece, which has hit the radio waves in recent weeks.

The two artistes complement each other in multiple ways. While Oluikpe may lack a wide vocal range, Mima delivers with her impressive vocal span and high-pitched notes. At the same time, Paul brings his experience, dexterity, and deep, rich tone, which sounds like a serenade.

Oluikpe has been active in the gospel music scene since 2013. In 2017, he hosted the ‘God of Heaven’ concert, which featured notable gospel artists such as Frank Edward’s, Solomon Lange, Prospa Ochimana, Osinachi Nwachukwu, Elijah Oyelade, and many other leading lights in gospel music.

Oluikpe was born on the 12th of July, 1972, in Kputuke, Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South, Abia State, Nigeria. He is a graduate of Library Studies from Abia State University.

He holds an MSc from Loughborough University School of Business and Economics and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the same university. He also holds a distinction from the University of Oxford in Strategy and Innovation.

Despite his career as a musician, Oluikpe is also an accomplished author and public servant. He works at the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a Chartered Banker, as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

His authored books include ‘Swim or Sink: Policy Dynamics in Challenging Environments’ (2024), ‘Dead on Arrival’ (2013), ‘The Campus Mafia’ (2006), and ‘Knowledge Management: A Project Management Approach’ (2011).

Apart from being a vocalist and musician, Oluikpe is also a prolific music producer and owns a home studio where he produces his own music.

He is renowned as one of the best mix and mastering engineers in Abuja and has recorded a number of artistes in his studio, including Yadah, Ema Onynx, Prospa Ochimana, and many others.
