Okada Rider Kills Boy, Injures Sibling

A motorcyclist has been arrested for hitting two kids of the same parents on Orile Road, Agege, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

Motorcyclist was alleged to have ridden his motorcycle marked QW 331 LND in a dangerous manner and in the process hit the eight-year-old Michael Obasi and his sibbling, five-year-old Bose Obasi.

A source at the scene confirmed to P.M.NEWS that the two kids were rushed to the hospital but Michael could not make it as he was confirmed dead by the doctors on duty, while his sister Bose was admitted and is responding to treatment.

Meanwhile, the corpse of Michael has been taken to public mortuary for autopsy.

In a similar development, the police at Shogunle have arrested a commercial bus driver for killing a pedestrian.

The driver was alleged to have driven his LT bus marked XZ 131 GGE at Shogunle bus stop, along Agege Motor Road in a dangerous manner and hit Leonard Okojukwu.

The victim, P.M.NEWS learnt was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died due to loss of blood.

The Lagos State Police image maker, DSP Samuel Jinaud, advised motorists to always be patient while driving.

“Motorists should always have it at the back of the their minds that people, especially children, cross the road unaided. They should look far ahead in case these little children dash on to the road, to avoid accident.”
