Wrestling: Stanco, Others Storm Lagos To Honour Fashola

Notable foreign wrestlers have signified their interest to feature in the Intercontinental Wrestling Championship scheduled for Lagos, Nigeria from 1-8 June.

The wrestling show is being packaged to honour Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, for his efforts in developing sports, not only in the state, but Nigeria.

Prominent among the internationally acclaimed wrestlers from Europe are Mike Stanco a.k.a Maximum Capacity from the USA, Giant Warriors of America, Johnny Palazio of Italy, Bonnie Lady of Scotland, Lady Nicky from Turkey, Mike Hughes of Canada, Elligero of Mexico.

Others, according to the coordinator of the tourney, Ahmed Mohammed, are Rob Raw from Belgium, Caris Bambikiller from Australia and Caris Botherway of England.

Some of the wrestlers  from African countries’ will also come  for the show They include Noudeen Michael from Cameroon, Noudeem Datsa from Central Africa Republic and USA Bing from Angola.

Among the local based wrestlers who will feature in the tourney are Delta Warrior (Delta), Super Apana (Imo), Rocky Johnson (Ebonyi), Tony Destroyer (Delta), Super Samson (Anambra).

Mohammed told P.M.Sports at the National Stadium, Lagos, that the wrestling event will be glamorous considering the calibre of wrestlers who have promised to be part of the championship.
