Chief Coach of My People FC, Michael Akintoye has expressed disappointment over his team’s defeat in the quarter final of the Boska Cup, which was played on Monday at the FIFA Legacy Astro-Turf of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.
My People FC lost 5-3 on penalty shootout after 2-2 draw at regulation time. Akintoye said it was painful that his team lost to a less fancied Lub-Bak FC.
He attributed his team’s defeat to the absence of seven of his regular players who were suspended by the club. “Seven of our key players were suspended because of indicipline,†he said.
Chairman of the organising committee of the tourney, Dotun Coker said he is satisfied with the standard and organisation of this year’s edition.
