Ibrahim, Babalola Back OBJ Tourney

Frontline lawyer and business mogul, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim (OFR), has thrown his weight behind the Nigeria Squash  Rackets Federation, the first Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Open Squash Championship.

The tourney, currently holding in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria will end on Saturday, 12 June, 2010.

President of the federation, Rotarian Femi Ajagbe told P.M.Sports that other notable Nigerians have also given their support to the OBJ tourney. Distinguished Nigerians including renowned lawyer, Aare Afe Babalola; Prince Kassam Buruji, businessman and founder of Omo Ilu Foundation; Asiwaju Olajide Awosedo, a leading politician and Chief Executive of Grant Properties Ltd. and Mr. Niyi Elumaro, Group Managing Director, Integrated Capital Services Ltd.

Ajagbe said the tourney is played in four categories which are: the U-16 Boys and Girls, U-18, National Open and Veterans.

He noted that the federation will use the championship to select the Nigerian team to the next African Open Squash Championship scheduled for South Africa in October.
