A national seminar for handball coaches and referees has been scheduled for Minna, Niger State, Nigeria on 31 July, 2010.
According to the Secretary General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, HFN, Olusola Luke, the theme of the seminar is 2010 Handball Rules.
Luke, who formerly headed the secretariat of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, NTF, said that the seminar is aimed at acquainting the coaches and referees with the new rules of the sport ahead of the 2010 National Sports Festival in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
“The state associations will sponsor their coaches and referees to this national seminar, and this is important and mandatory. The aim of the seminar is to acquaint our technical officials with the new rules as we approach the National Sports Festival.
“The states will be responsible for their participants’ transportation, feeding and accommodation while in Minna,†he said
Luke disclosed that the names of the states’ nominees for the seminar should reach the secretariat of the federation not later than 15 July, adding that the HFN will be responsible for all the seminar papers and materials.
