All the suspects, P.M.NEWS gathered, live in Ogijo.

The robbery suspects said they bought their arms from a man they identified as ‘China’ who used to meet them at Sagamu. ‘China’, they claimed, sold a gun to them for N25,000.

Three guns were recovered from the suspects when they were arrested on Saturday.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Sagamu Police Division who led his men to the robbers hideout, Mr. Ukadike Obi, declined comment on the arrest.

A source at the station, however, informed P.M.NEWS that after Saturday’s robbery incident at Odo Kekere, police got a tip off on the hideout of the suspects and the DPO led his men to arrest them.

The source appealed to members of the public to feel free and approach the police with information that could lead to the arrest of criminals. “Robbers and other criminals are not ghosts, they are human beings, who live among the people,” he added.

The source confirmed that the three suspects would be charged to court soon while a manhunt is on for the one who escaped.
