Popular chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya, a.k.a. MC Oluomo, has escaped assassination by unidentified gunmen.
According to sources, Oluomo and his personal assistant, identified as Jimoh, escaped death by the whiskers but his driver identified as Kunle was not lucky. He was shot dead by the assailants.
Oluomo, who was reported to have hired a car rather than use his private car, was billed to attend a social function in a guest house in Lagos. Unknowingly, the gunmen trailed him to the hotel. Our sources disclosed that the assailants met Kunle, Oluomo’s driver, and demanded to see his boss. But when the driver told them he did not know the whereabouts of Oluomo, they killed him on the spot.
Oluomo, who is the leader of NURTW in Oshodi area of Lagos State, also serves as the treasurer of the state council of the union.
