Dep. Gov Loses Wife

The wife of the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Hajia Aisha Moukhtar, is dead.

The Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Habib Alhassan, who announced the demise, said Aisha died at Daula Hospital in Gusau, after a brief illness.

The deceased died at the age of 28. She is survived by her husband, Alhaji Moukhtari Ahmed Anka and one child.

Aisha had been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

A funeral prayer was coducted at the Gusau Central Mosque and was attended by the state governor, Mahmud Shinkafi, Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Kabir Danbaba and many prominent traditional rulers, politicians and top government officials.
