Plans have been concluded for the maiden Private Secondary Schools Football Championship in Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos, Nigeria.
The competition, which will hold in October this year, is to discover and tap the hiddenÂ talents, especially among students. Also, the programme would encourage them to be serious in their education, which would lead them to professionals.
According to Kinsley Uansohia, Chief Operating Officer of Efkay International Sports Promotion, organizers of the tournament, the championship will foster unity between the students and teachers of schools within the area.
He stated that the championship will commence on the 22 October with the finals slated for 31st of the same month.
Union Bank Sports Club and Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere would serve as venues for the tournament.
However registration for the competition has since commenced ahead of a successful event.
