Yakowa Plans Big For Kaduna Utd

Kaduna State Governor, Ibrahim Yakowa, has expressed happiness over the victory of Kaduna United Football Club at the 2010 Federation Cup, saying he will give the team his full support to represent Nigeria well at the continental tournament.

Yakowa, who was represented by his Deputy, Ramalan Yero, during the Federation Cup final at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano last Sunday, said the state government is ready to give the victorious team all the support to move ahead.

Kaduna United, in the encounter defeated Enyimba Football Club 3-2 during a penalty shoot out in a mind-boggling engagement that ended in 6-5 goals aggregate.

Governor Yakowa described the Kaduna players performance as very impressive, adding that the state government and the people of Kaduna State were proud of the team for bringing glory home.

He promised that his government was ready to give financial and moral support to the team, hoping that God will give them the grace to make Nigeria proud at the forthcoming continental tournament.

Kano State Deputy Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Tijani Gwarzo, however presented the Federation Cup to captain of the team, Idris Papa, who lifted the cup with his colleagues amidst huge celebration.
