Lagos State Government today denied a newspaper report (not P.M.NEWS) alleging that it has terminated the construction of the ongoing works on the Lagos Badagry expressway.
The Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure to Governor Babatunde Fashola, Engr. Ganiyu Johnson, denied the publication and described it as wicked and malicious for anybody to allege that such a highly beneficial project that will enhance the socio-economic wellbeing of Lagosians and the nation at large will be terminated.
Engr. Johnson assured Lagosians that the project is very much on course and the construction company Messrs Julius Berger Nig. Plc, has promised to deliver the programme within the agreed time frame.
He said it is also heartwarming to report that substantial progress has been recorded on the newly constructed bridge at Mile 2, which is at 70% completion stage, and the service lane from Orile to Alaba is almost completed and will be put to use within the next few days.
He further explained that the technology of construction being put to use by the construction company is also unique for the bridge construction.
