Nigerians, especially Christians, have been charged to visit the first love in Christ for the nation to witness divine rebirth.
In addition, politicians and others in authority have also being enjoined to rule with the fear of God in order to make the nation and the society the best to live in.
These remarks were contained in the sermon delivered by a cleric of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Very Revd. Sola Makindipe, at the 10th year anniversary and the attainment of a circuit status of Talabi Coker Memorial Methodist Church, Ijesatedo, Surulere, Lagos, recently.
Quoting from several Bible passages, Rev. Makindipe was quick to warn that in as much as God was a very jealous God, so also was He very merciful to embrace sinners who renounced from sin and returned to Him.
Makindipe also reiterated the need for Christians to strive at all times to be effective, dependable front burners and crusaders of Christ with impeccable characters.
Also speaking at the event tagged Restoration, Presbyter of the church, Very Revd. Babatunde Adewale Ladigbolu, urged Nigerians to go out en masse to register and vote for very credible candidates during the forthcoming 2011 polls.
