Faleke Gets Elders' Nod For Reps Seat

The chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, of Lagos State, Honourable James Abiodun Faleke, received a major boost at the weekend for his ambition to represent Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Elders of the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN in Ikeja Federal Constituency rose from their meeting at the weekend and decided to back the Ojodu LCDA boss who is also the chairman of Conference 57, the umbrella organization for council chairmen in the state.

Alhaji Taoreed Ashiru, one of the elders and chairman of Ojodu LCDA branch of ACN, stated that Faleke received the nod of the elders because of his commitment to the development and growth of the constituency. “His performance as chairman of Ojodu LCDA has shown that he is a man worthy of representing us at the national level. He is not only a high performer but also a committed party loyalist and transparent person,” Ashiru said.

Equally, the three ACN chairmen of Ojodu, Onigbongbo, LCDA and Ikeja Local Government have endorsed the ambition of the Ojodu LCDA boss.

Apart from this, stakeholders in the constituency have also  expressed their suport for the Ojodu LCDA chairman. They rose from their own meeting last Friday and decided to back Faleke.  Stakeholders in the federal constituency includes party elders, youths and women leaders in the constituency. “Honourable Faleke has proved to be a man we can trust. We have tested him and he ahs impressed us during his two elected terms as chairman of the Ojodu council,”  said Yomi Tijani, a prominent member of the stakeholders’ forum in the federal constituency.

A member of Faleke’s campaign team, Mallam Jaji stated that the endorsement coming from all quarters is a testimony of the impressive performance of Faleke in office.  “He has been tested and he is highly trusted by the people.His endorsement gladdens our heart,” he said.
