Top fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal a.k.a. K1 De Ultimate, has joined other artistes that will perform at the 2010 edition of Felabration.
P.M.Entertainment learnt that K1, through a text message sent to Fela’s first daughter, Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti, agreed in principle to perform at the show starting from 11 October and ending on 17 October, 2010.
Investigations revealed that K1, who will be out of the country, promised to return to Nigeria with his band members to perform midway into Felabration.
Other artistes who confirmed their participation, according to P.M.Entertainment findings, are Ade Bantu, Ara, Kennis Music artistes, D’banj, Seun Anikulapo-Kuti and Femi, among others.
Yeni said that part from the top artistes, upcoming ones have been discussing with the organising committee to be part of the celebration tagged VIVA Africa.
“This year’s edition will be exceptional. It is getting bigger and bigger every year,â€Â she said.
Awilo, the international Makossa music star is also expected to be part of this year’s Felabration.
